'A Whole New (blue) World'

Woke up to a snowy ground this morning. And BLUE! - everything was blue, it was lovely. 7 hours later the snow was gone and it was sunny. This is spring in Maine.

This Good Earth

Out tapping the sugar maples today. This is a great time of year to walk around and SEE the forms of our land. We live on a unique little river knoll. Come summer, everything will be lush and hidden.

2B or not 2B... that is my pencil

Today begins a week of painting in my studio. Off and running on the NESCBWI poster: "A Whole New World".              Could someone bring me a sandwich?

Only 7 miles to China...

On my way to one of my favorite yarn shops, I passed this sign. There are a few of these signs around Maine. They look so serious, they crack me up.
I'm still working on my Fingerless Glove pattern. Checking and re-checking sizes. Looking for test knitters - found one so far through Craftsy. I'm looking forward to painting and knitting during the school break in two weeks.
