Snow-Day #2, in my studio...

Photo Booth, click, click, .... way too much fun!
My wood box is full. Second cup of tea in hand...

I'm dreaming about the spring NESCBWI conference. The theme for this year's poster contest is: 'A Whole New World' - "How do you go about building an entire world in just one image?" - I'm on it, catch ya later.

"Faith Moves Mountains"

Faith Moves Mountains - yes, that would be 'Faith'.
Nothing like a 2 hour delay to the start of school and my mind is soaring high! I'll grade those collages later (though they look fantastic! - good job 7th Graders!)  - I've got 2 FREE hours right here and now! Wahoo!
I'm thinking about more word plays in watercolor...
(see post on 11/29/11)
'Faith Moves Mountains' was
in a fortune cookie - a great                                                                                          saying.

Fingerless Gloves

Snow Day Artist on Etsy
Two more pairs of fingerless gloves. These are a lot of fun to knit. I have been using a set of bamboo double pointed needles, size 9. I love how light weight these needles are, and so quiet to knit with.

I have enough stash (ever enough?) to play around with color combinations - like painting with yarn.

My Mom wants this pattern - gotta write it down!

Finally a Snow-Day!

Yippee, a snow-day at last. This is my first snow-day of the 2011-2012 school year. I've been working in my studio all day. I just love these free days... to work, to wander, to create, to explore.
And get a load of this, my chickens haven't laid an egg in a couple of months and today they laid 2!

Fingerless Gloves on 1/1/12

Earthy Chic, with a kick of attitude, great colors...

Knitting in the New Year, finished another pair of fingerless gloves today. This feels like a very hopeful time. The year ahead looks good.
As my Dove chocolate wrapper says:
"Love yourself.
Dare to dream.
Live on purpose!"
- yum!

I spent hours cleaning my studio today. I do believe we make room for the new by releasing the old. Cheers!
