School Mural under way....

Yesterday I started to put together this year's school mural. I got to square 151, out of 300. It will take about 10 hours total to complete. This is always an exciting and exhausting process. Wonder what this mural is a painting of? Hint: A teacher stopped by while I was working and I gave her this clue: "The bottom half of this very famous painting is not nearly as recognizable as the top half."

I'm a full-time artist living in rural Maine. My studio is connected to a 200 year-old farm house overlooking the Sheepscot River. My style is precise, colorful, nature inspired, and often a bit playful. When I'm not painting I can be found knitting, gardening or walking the dog along the river. Previously, I taught Visual Arts for 15+ years with National Board Certification at the Elementary and Middle School level here in Maine. Once upon a time, I graduated from the Putney School in Vermont and received my BFA in Drawing/Painting from California College of the Arts. Continuing Ed at RISD. Previous member: ABA, GNSI, NESCBWI. ♥
